The introduction and background to the lesson are a bit long-winded, but make very good and clear points about the differences in energy sources from different time periods. I like relatable examples are used in order to guide students towards a basic understanding of energy and its many types. The activity is an amazing exploration into renewable energy, providing young minds with an educational jump start into environmental stewardship. I love that students will also be practicing their reading and comprehension skills, as they answer questions based off information from different fictional reports. Additionally, it’s awesome that students are consistently urged to discuss ideas and solutions rather than being given the answer to questions.
