This is a fun and easy lesson with a great video that can really help to guide you through this activity. Learners can really stay engaged with this activity once they realize they can see sound! Have your learner see how sound waves change based on volume, distance, or even different pitches. This activity can even work for older learners; after experiencing a variety of sound waves, have them guess what waves may look like for new instruments/sounds, and document their findings in a "sound journal" made from any scratch paper you have at home.
