The problem presented in this resource is relatable to many families that live near a mountain or hill side and is an important topic. The presentation provides a lot of information that explains a landslide along with real life engineered solutions in the world, but the activity does not feel very engaging for students to be able to develop a solution. Also, this activity can be difficult to do with students from home by themselves without having a classroom of other students to brainstorm the issue. A better activity would be to build a model land slide with a ramp and observe how different materials slide on a slope, which can help students gain firsthand experience with how landslides occur and then presenting them with the question of how can an area by kept safe or prevent a landslide altogether. I think there is a lot of potential learning for this topic because it relates to meteorology, engineering, weathering and erosion.
