The video in this resource does a good job of explaining the science of the air cannon, as well as provide a variety of ways to build an air cannon; hopefully inspiring students to see that there isn’t just one right way to do something. The instructions are good because the step-by-step instructions include pictures and other suggestions for materials in the written text. This activity offers a good learning potential because of all the different materials it presents as possible air cannons challenging students to be creative with developing their air cannon. After trying two types of materials, I found using a cut balloon and rubber band was easier to use than the plastic grocery bag with tape.
