This is a fun activity to learn about food chains and animals that are related to each other in an ecosystem based on what their food sources are. It has some very nice connections to daily life since students can look at where they live and think about the animals that might be around just based on the plants and insects they see near their home. It reminds the student that these ecosystems aren’t just some far away thing, but something right there in their own backyard. You do have to have a partner in order to complete the activity since it is a game of at least two players.
