This activity is a great introduction to weather and wind. This is a fun, functional craft that lends itself to creativity as well as science education! Most of the materials needed can be readily found, but if not available it can be easily modified. For instance if you don’t have a straw you can make a pretend one from a rolled piece of paper. No pin? Try an unfolded paper clip. I didn’t have clay so I glued my pencil into an upside down paper bowl and paper plate I glued together. I got creative and made a unicorn to point out the wind direction, but you can make whatever you want! So much fun!
