H2NO ; Water, where are you?
In this series of videos and paper handouts, you are tasked with figuring out where an aquifer might be. Aquifers are a collection of water underneath rock and soil. Through doing research and using the process of elimination, you come up with where on the map handout an aquifer is most likely to be.
The activity included serves as a perfect companion to the sound science detailed in the video. To make this a more hands on activity, consider building an aquifer model in a nontransparent container. Using a straw or stick, try to figure out where the well could be or create a man made water supply for your town. This experiment is overflowing with intrigue!
