I could use a Light Meal!
During this experiment, you will be monitoring leaves for photosynthesis. You will need a plastic rubber syringe, baking soda, water, leaves, and a straw.
The steps of the experiment are straight forward and concise. I did find the vacuum step confusing but once I realized you’re supposed to plug the top of the syringe the entire time and pull down the little plunger as far as you can, It worked in about three vacuum sealed plunges. The experiment also states to document the results every single minute but I found this unnecessary. Five to ten minute intervals work much better. I didn’t have my first floating leaf circle until forty minutes. The amount of content and information provided by this resource are excellent and it started me looking for more “Science Snacks” on this website.
