Reaching New Flights!
This is another JPL activity I would recommend. It takes around fifteen minutes to complete and the instructions are terrific.
I have created these “Paper Mars Helicopters” numerous times as an educator at the discovery cube. Younger learners really enjoy that it is really simple to create and modify. For modifications, I’d recommend paper clips and papers of different thicknesses. These small modifications make a major impact on how your helicopter will fly. I’d recommend this activity for anyone looking for a simple quick activity placing importance on engineering design. Aeronautically speaking, this project is not uplifting; it’s a drag!
