This activity is top notch! Not only does it teach about frogs, but this is a wonderful introduction to field biology! It demonstrates how important it is to make observations and take detailed notes. It teaches kids how to be a scientist and collect data. I did not even print out the worksheet, instead I just took notes on a piece of paper, which offered a more “authentic” scientific experience and acted as my Field Journal. This activity could also serve as a starting point for citizen science. They offer additional resources at the end that discuss this, and how you can get involved and help scientists collect real data.
