This lesson is made and formatted in a way that perfectly reflects engineering design principles. Not only does it hold great potential for learning, it can be a very fun and engaging activity. The visuals and diagrams are helpful, but a few more could be included to help make directions more clear. I love that the lesson prompts the learner to redesign their glider to test for specific changes, which takes the lesson beyond the activity and creates a scientific learning environment. The discussion questions and extensions encourage critical thinking and promotes creativity in order to find alternative solutions. What I love most is that though this project is so simple, inexpensive, and easily-made, yet it has the potential to relate to numerous different scientific concepts and practices, enjoyable for all ages.
