Dinosaurs are a fun topic for students and this resource offers a lot of interesting questions and exploration. The food web activity can be difficult to do if students aren’t able to have paper copies printed, but this activity is still possible by writing out notes on index cards and allowing students to draw their best pictures of each item. Then place the index cards on a blank piece of paper and draw arrows to show the transfer of energy or if it is easier draw arrows on a separate sheet of paper, cut them out, and place them accordingly. Students can draw out their food web on paper in a journal. Other extensions can also be made from this topic, such as rock types and paleontology. Overall, this is an interesting topic and students enjoy learning about dinosaurs.
