The educational value of this activity is a fun learning potential for elementary students. At first, this activity may be challenging to implement. Although JPL provides step by step instruction with a video component, the key instruction to land the marble on the target is either instructed verbally with an absent of full visual representation of how to construct a release system. Without this key instruction, the student may find this activity difficult. However, this then allows students to think critically along the same lines as NASA's engineers & scientists in how to land a spacecraft on a specified target. The quality of the content is organized & in-depth with limited supplies to construct the lesson. This activity is fun & engaging – a good recommendation for how to land a spacecraft on a target.
