A current event
This resource is all about how objects can be insulators or conductors when it comes to electricity. It gives minimal instruction and ample exploration time for all ages to figure out how circuits might work.
I’ve done this activity as a guided activity at the science center numerous times and am always shocked at the creations made with different materials. Try using fruits, aluminum foil, and water along with your dough to see what interesting circuits you can create. This activity is scalable for all grade levels so receives high scores from me. It can take kids five minutes to five hours to lose the spark when it comes to this electrifying activity.
